1. What is a scenario project?

Allex offers to mark projects as scenarios. That option supports the planning of a project without publishing it to your organization or project portfolio. Scenarios are not displayed in the standard views My work, Portfolio and Team boards.

2. Where and how to create a scenario project?

  • If you navigate to the scenario project, the project header displays that it´s a scenario

  • You can also mark an existing project as a scenario by navigating to the project, open the three-dot menu in the project header and select Mark as scenario

  • If you want to publish a scenario project navigate to the project, open the three-dot menu in the project header and select Publish scenario or use the Publish button displayed in the project header

3. How to work with scenario projects?

  • Scenario projects are not displayed in the standard views

  • My work: Tasks which are assigned to users within the scenario are not displayed

  • Portfolio-List: By default, scenario projects are not displayed. To display scenario projects open the filter menu on the top right and select Scenario in the section Project Typ

  • Portfolio - Timeline: When show scenario is enabled the project will be labeled in the list of projects

  • Portfolio - Timeline - Team workload: When Show scenario is enabled and Team workload is switched on you can inspect how the team workload is influenced by the scenario projects

Hint: You can switch on the scenarios individually in the project or workload area independently of each other
