In this article you will learn:
What is a team workload?
A team workload includes the total available capacity of all team members in a team board and the capacity already used at a specific point in time.
What is a resource workload?
A resource workload shows how busy a resource is within a team.
Bookings in other boards are not included in the overall workload or in the workload of a resource. |
How can I display the workload of a team?
Open the Team boards in the main navigation
Click on the team's board whose workloads you want to display
Open the Timeline tab
Switch on the Workload toggle in the timeline header
The workload view is displayed in the lower area
Click on a workload bar to get more information in a separate dialog
Notes: One resource can be assigned to several team boards. When calculating the workload in a team board, only the availability in the currently displayed team is taken into account. Workloads from other team assignments are not included.
You can only view past workload rates for the last 3 month. |

|
Show booking data
If the availability bar is green or red, you can display the booking data:
Place the cursor on the desired availability bar
The booking data is displayed as a tooltip
Examples
Resource with free capacity:
In this case, the resource still has free capacity. It has a capacity of 8 hours per day, but has only been booked for 5 hours.
Overbooked Resource:
In this case, the resource is overbooked. It has a capacity of 8 hours per day, but it was booked for 8 hours for one task and 5 hours for a second task.
Project Calendar and Resource Calendar
Non-working days are defined in a calendar (e.g. public holiday calendar). A calendar can be assigned to a project and a resource at the same time.
A project calendar is used to define the non-working days in a project (for more information on project calendars, see How do I add a project calendar?).
A resource calendar is used to define non-working days for a resource.
For a resource, non-working days can also result from their working time model.
If different calendars are assigned to a project and a resource, they may overlap under certain circumstances. When booking resources, a project calendar always takes precedence over a resource calendar.
Display of assignments in other team boards
A resource can belong to several team boards.
There can be bookings for the resource in each of these boards. You can display these in the current team board.
Switch on Bookings of other boards.
Every booking in another board is displayed with a gray bar.
Hover over the booking.
The name of the team and the booking duration per day are displayed in a tooltip.
Show task and/or booking bar
By default, the task and booking bars are displayed in a team board when a booking is made. You have the option of hiding the display of the task bar:
Click on Show task and booking bar
Click on Show booking bar
Only the booking is shown.
