In this article, you will learn:
1. What is the Simulation Mode?
The Simulation Mode (Beta) is a temporary feature that allows organization admins to stagger projects in their portfolio. This feature allows users to experiment with portfolio adjustments while still being able to revert all changes and return to the original portfolio state.
Once you exit the simulation mode, the changes made during the simulation will be saved and applied to your live data.
Key limitations:
Unless you revert changes during the simulation, all changes made affect live data.
Staggering can only be done in a single browser tab and account.
Changes cannot be reverted after exiting the simulation mode.
Notes:
Simulation mode is only available for organization admins.
Simulation is a temporary feature and will be replaced by a full-fledged simulation mode in future updates.
This feature is available only to selected organizations and admins during the Beta phase. Please contact support@allex.ai if you want to activate the feature for your organization.
2. When should I use Simulation Mode?
Simulation Mode is ideal for:
Staggering projects in a portfolio: Adjust and align due dates to optimize project timelines.
Testing portfolio adjustments: Experiment with project sequencing while still being able to revert to the initial state if necessary.
