In this article you will learn:

1. What is 2-factor-authentication

  • 2-factor authentication is is an enhanced security measure to confirm the identity of an Allex user in every login attempt

  • First factor: You log in to Allex with your e-mail address and password

  • Second factor: After the login, you will be asked to enter a 6 digit code, which has been sent to the e-mail address you use for your Allex account

  • The authentication code is valid for 10 minutes, if you exceed this time limit you will be redirected to the login page and by logging in again, a new code will be sent to you

  • If you didn't receive an authentication code, you can click Resend code

2. How to activate 2-factor authentication for your organization

  • 2-factor authentication can be activated for all members of an organization

  • Currently, we from Allex administer this feature

  • If your organization admin would like to apply 2-factor authentication he or she can reach out to us and we can activate it for the organization

3. What happens next

  • We will simplify the request for a new authentication code

  • and offer security settings, where organization admins can enable and disable 2-factor authentication
