In this article you will learn:

1. What is a project status?

When you mark a project with a project status, it provides information about the formal state the project is in.

This provides transparency and users who have access to the project are able to quickly get a general picture of the project.

The project statuses have no influence on the content status of a project and are set and maintained manually.

2. Which project statuses are existing?

Planned

Description

This project status is set by default when a new project is created.

It does not matter whether it was created with or without a template or whether it is a private or scenario project.

If a project is not planned immediately after it is created, the project status Not set can be assigned to it.

You can assign the status Planned when the project is completely planned.

Not set

Description

This project status can be set if a project should not have a status at first. This can be the case, for example, after a project has been newly created, but planning is to be started at a later date, or when planning is to be adjusted if a project has been created according to a template.

This status can also be set if you do not want to set a status for a project in principle
